Air Time

In response to my husband's comment that he doesn't seem to get enough notice on my blog, I thought I'd let you all know what he did around the farmhouse this week. That is, what he did after cutting and trimming the lawn, fixing leaky windows before winter and filling in rather large holes, raking, rolling and reseeding the multitude of areas that were disturbed for the new septic system installation.

He made some pesto with the remaining basil from the herb garden...

...and it smelled yummy. He let me be his sous chef. I got to chop everything in the food processor. It was fun. Oh wait, this is all about him. He does a lot around here. A heck of a lot more than I do. Sometimes, I feel like a lawn tractor widow. He sure seems to spend a lot of time bonding with his Yardman.

It was kind of nice to have him back in the house, working in the kitchen. It's a good sign that fall is here and just to be clear he's always been an 'involved' husband and dad. It's one of the reasons I fell him in love with him, that and maybe those delicious lamb chops he cooked for me on one of our first dates. I guess he figured out pretty quick how to get my heart's attention.

Oh and I should come clean about another matter. I came home from work yesterday, to find our house spic and span and ready to entertain our guests for Thanksgiving tomorrow. This is a man who decorated his house with potpourri when I met him. What girl doesn't fall for that?

I am such a lucky girl.

Oh my goodness.... he cooks and cleans? And does yard work? What a guy!! I love how he put the pesto in the ice cube trays too for future enjoyment. Awesome. You found a keeper there, Andrea, for sure ;-) -Tammy

What a sweet hubby! Although I know what you mean about being a "lawn tractor widow"... I think my husband finds more and more and more to mow every summer! LOL

Wow, what a wonderful man you have! We do need to know more about him. I started Mountain Man Mondays to showcase my incredible Mountain Man so maybe you could devote a day to your fabulous husband.
