Christmas Wrapping

Decorations have been hung by the chimney with care,

the long distance Christmas cards all sent by air.

The old farmhouse is filled with scents of delight,

as old Christmas movies play through the night.

We found in one flick a song we'd forgotten,

the Waitresses sing about a Christmas gone rotten.

So all day long we've been dancing and clapping,

but now, if you please, its back to my wrapping.

It looks and sounds so very, very inviting. Those that share your holiday are very fortunate indeed.

But seriously- I haven't done any wrapping yet.

Sounds like so much fun is going on in your home! I did a lot of wrapping last night! It's one part of Christmas I'm not thrilled with, and it shows with my poor quality workmanship in my wrapped presents. Your mantel looks lovely! Happy Holidays - xox

That's a gorgeous mantle, Andrea. So festive. :)

I did a bit of wrapping yesterday as well. I always like to save some for Christmas Eve day -- it's supposed to snow here on Friday, so it will be a good day to stay in and finish up.

Have a great day!
