O Christmas Tree!

Hello lovely friends!

A brief interlude due to a nasty cold bug has kept me quiet.

But I'm on the mend and wanted to share some scenes of this
year's search for the perfect Christmas tree.

We're hoping to grow our own trees here at the old farmhouse,
a dream long intertwined with a wish to live in the country.

We're part way there!

In the meantime, we visit a local tree farm each year,
where the choices are plenty.
As soon as we arrived, the male twin found a perfect specimen.
It was fat in all the right places and just the right height.
It seemed too good to be true; who finds the right tree as soon as they arrive?
So we continued our search, but we couldn't forget that first tree.

So we returned and that tree? Well, it was still there but it was perhaps maybe
a little too fat, so we hummed and hawed and looked at the tree right beside it
and declared, with a little conversation, that it was the perfect tree.

 ~Be well friends~

Male twin should find work as a Christmas tree picker!

Some of my best memories are from family times choosing a Christmas tree . . . loved reading about your family on search for a tree.

Merry Christmas . . . and may you too, "Be Well . . . "

Ah yes...that happens to us as well. We find "the one" as soon as we hop off the school bus that takes us out to the tree farm. I refuse to believe the perfect tree is right by the road, so I coax (okay, drag) everyone else over the hills until I come to my senses. Yes, the tree has always been there when we get back, but will I ever learn?! I guess I want the fun to last! Looks like you had a perfect day...Merry Christmas! -Mary

I'm you found the perfect tree. We saw a cute, stubby, short, chubby tree at Whole Foods. We didn't buy it, because we already have a tree...but it was so cute :) Happy Christmas to you :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

We never have a tree because of the kitties. But, we may be enticed to travel to Canada just to get one in the future :) You know, roots and all so I can plant it here in
Tennessee :)
