This or That Thursday: eDition 20/20

I continue to be astounded by this summer weather in March business. Watching a magnolia bloom in March is pure monkey business but other sightings in the yard seem, although slightly early, just what should be in store at the moment.

The spring glow of forsythia and the over night appearance of crocuses in the yard
helped to smooth the waters of strangeness in my mind. It could also be the availability
of evening light and outdoor subjects to photograph were also part of the solution.

Even if we've only just packed up our sugar shack/tent city and scrubbed clean the sap buckets for another year. Our haul this time around was much less than last year but, considering how much prices will likely skyrocket over the next twelve months, it is more valuable than ever before. Thank goodness for honey supplies.

Oh hello beauties; you're back!

We spent Saturday morning at our favourite bee supply store, where we had the owner's sole attention for almost two hours. It was heaven. We chatted up everything to do with bees and when it was all said and done, he showed us his son's sheep herd.

It's a wonder that I only came home with bee supplies.

~Bee well friends!~

I hear you on the wack-o weather! I am wearing flip-slops but refuse to change in my pants for capris! Thankfully we'll be back in the 50s come Saturday!

These pictures are stunning, love those little yellow buds!

It's been a very weird winter season here in Sweden too - I'm happy to see flowers in bloom a little earlier though! :-)

Loved your photos and thoughts . . . 87 here yesterday, a year ago we were dumped with a huge snowfall . . . It is a bit perplexing . . . Things are in bloom, birds are singing their praises . . . all is well . . . not so sure . . . feeling skeptical about this drastic change of events . . . I miss spring . . .

Great pics! I have wanted crocuses for years - I adore them - but I can never seem to find them in the stores.

My forsythia bush is blooming as well and I need to plant crocuses...I always remember to when I see others posting theirs in the spring ;) and our buckets too are all washed and put away.

It's so funny reading all these blogs on record high weather reports...here on the West Coast in Canada we are having the opposite.

We have had so many days of snow and cold that I'm not sure my cherry and apple blossoms know what to do. LOL.

Today the sun is shining, but it's zero degrees (Celsius).

Beautiful photos as well.

Blessings,
Connie

Love the captures... very revealing.

It seems this warm weather has had a large geographic impact. We feeling the heat here in Canada too.

I suspect it will be a banner year for bugs. :(

When I was still living in Oregon (January 2010) we had a streak of unusually warm weather...and our magnolia tree bloomed. It was way too early, but the blooms where a beautiful shade of pink and cream. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of CAlifornia, Heather :)
