Saturday Snap

A snap scene from our corner of the world yesterday.

The snow descended upon us leaving our world at a standstill and the jostling of a Friday and the busyness involved with preparing for the weekend was replaced with tranquility and respite.

The only ones hustling and bustling about were the birds. They flitted in and out of our tiny woods, coming out in search of food and then quickly returning to the safety of large pine branches, just as quick as they could. Cardinals, nuthatches, juncos and blue jays. They put on quite a show for us; we were more than eager to watch.

Hoping there was some tranquility in your day too.

~Happy weekend friends

Oh, my. I'm glad we've had rains instead of snows this year.

That is a beautiful photo.

I have never seen that much snow before.

Stay safe and warm and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

i love your photo -- all black and white and fuzzy and capturing just a quick moment in a busy, snowy day!

Looks like an inside day to me... that's a lot of cold!

Friday was relaxing for us as schools were closed here too. The boys had to go to work and shovel and even though it is only a three minute drive the van got stuck on our road and they had to walk out to the main road and get picked up. Loved the beauty of the snow though. It would be even lovelier in the stillness you get to experience on your property.
