This or That Thursday: The Flora and Fauna eDition

I was good with the long, drawn out drama this winter had become through the month of March.

I could wait a while longer for outdoor work to commence.

I have serious issues with a certain rooster who crows so early in the morning
that the idea of sleeping with the windows open, once the nights stay warm,
has been rendered a very bad idea anyways.

But mid April is here, along with a day full of freezing rain warnings
and I'd prefer spring to start any time now. Thank you very much.

I have a small confession to make.

I cheated winter this year.

We escaped to warmer climes for a week,
and I suppose for that, this is the penance I must pay or
else my once a decade winter trip was timed perfectly.

Sights of flora and fauna from Cayo Guillermo, Cuba.

Don't feel guilty at all -- I'm sure it was a well-deserved break. How beautiful.

And I have to say I'm a bit jealous that you got to meet "B" in person. She's such a lovely soul. Maybe someday I'll have the same pleasure. xo

Oh I feel for you! We are in the 80s already, and it is now that I start to feel badly for those still freezing. I hope spring shows soon. I'm glad you cheated winter a bit. Hopefully that will keep you going while waiting for warm weather.

Wonderful photos ! This spring is unreal , mother nature is playing tricks on us that's for sure ! The winds here have been howling and this old farm house has been creaking and cracking like crazy , rain falling in every direction and temps are cold . Thanks for sharing . Stay safe and have a good day !

Cuba? And you didn't share until now? This may be why you are weather jinxed ;)

A place I'd love to visit but I think us Americans still can't (legally) travel there...
