a weak off

I've been wanting to make homemade root beer for ages and planned on foraging for sassafras and burdock root. I haven't had a chance yet, but Callie came home with a tail full of burrs the other day and while the Artist was a bit dismayed by the state of her tail I was anxious to know where the burrs came from. I'm still waiting for her to tell me.

When I head out to work each day, it's difficult not to imagine everything I could be doing if I was at home. Then I'm on holidays and still nothing gets accomplished. What's with that?

Ember spends her days up in trees, chasing moths all around the pond and in the woods two doors down....yet she won't venture into the basement....where the litter boxes are kept. What's with that?

It's five in the morning and I've been up for two hours sorting and filing paperwork. At least I can say I got something accomplished this week. And yes, I'll be tired but we're headed to the beach in a few hours where I plan on sleeping all day, sort of like my cats, sans the water.

I'm really okay with not accomplishing much this week, I did have a chance to enjoy the morning light with camera in hand, and that's good enough for me.

Sometimes we just have to relax and let go. If those little nagging projects were really important, they would get done in a timely manner.

Have a great time at the beach.

Enjoy your time at the beach. I have much the same routine. When I am at work, nothing at home gets accomplished. When I have time off, only a couple of things get accomplished. lol

A very nice post. Things have a way of still being there if we don't get around to it today... it will be there tomorrow. Just relax at the beach and forget about chores. That's a good thing.

We all need some downtime -- and it's so hard to convince ourselves of that. I hope your day was restful.

Sometimes a day of not accomplishing anything - is a day of accomplishing quite a lot! A week of it sounds wonderful. :)
