Friday Past

Last Friday, I booked the day off work, bid adieu to the Artist and the Twins and headed straight to my moms.
She'd been gone for two months and we needed some time with just each other.

We're both early risers, so we decided to go for a walk.
There is lots of beautiful parkland interspersed among the homes in the older areas of her town.

We were able to catch up on all the important stuff like sewing, baking, knitting, quilting
and a little photography thrown in for good measure.

I'm lucky to have a mom who is also my best friend. We share many of the same interests that we somehow
came to embrace on our own but now encourage each other with almost daily. I love hanging out with her.

This one is for you Dee....'cause you haven't seen her in so long either.

My only wish is we could do this every Friday.

~Enjoy your Friday friends!

My mom is only an hour away, but I don't visit her as much as I should. When my husband's work schedule settles down, maybe I can get away for a day.

A lovely post Andrea... thank you.

I finally got a chance to see my mom this summer, after two long years. We live 1200 miles apart and she won't travel so it makes it tricky. Love the first photo...

How nice that you got to spend quality time with your mom.
I'm lucky in that my mom lives next door to me. Although I must admit at times that we can & do get on each other nerves but through it all we are best friends too.
What a lovely place to go for a walk.

Spend every chance you can with your mom - even if it is to patch up cross-feelings or disagreements. I miss my mom dearly and wish with all my heart that for so many years that we lived apart that either we had lived closer to her and dad, or they to us.
