Why I Moved to the Country: Reason #125

Did you know that day lilies, the ubiquitous flower of many a rural landscape, only bloom for one day?
It stands to reason then, if you pick them for an arrangement indoors, they'll be dead by morning.

Things you learn when you move to the country.

Be well friends!

I love Day lilies!

Ours are just now sprouting their foliage.
And yes, Andrea, they don't fair well in a pretty vase. That is why they are called "DAY" lilies!

I learned this the hard way, years ago when I moved to Georgia. Picked a whole bouquet from the woods and the next morning.....dead!
Yep, the things you learn by living in the country!
