Pardon Me?

I may be mistaken but the spring equinox has passed,

with the fanfare of a beautiful and bright moon, no less.

I welcomed Spring wholeheartedly,

in fact, I am pretty sure we all welcomed her.

So, excuse me if I am a bit perplexed and more than a little dismayed

about the conditions outside the old farmhouse today.
Conditions that warranted a snow day for the little people,

and a work from home day for me.

So what's a girl to do with a day like today?

Well this girl took her coffee break outside and played in the snow,

and then played with Photoshop after dinner.

And that's okay for one day.

But old man winter, let's make things clear,

if you plan on sticking around,
you're treading on thin ice.

 ~Good bye Winter!~

Hello ... what's up with the weather today????? 1.5 hours to get into the office (usually 20 minutes) and another hour to get back home at the end of the day. My van couldn't even enter the driveway as the snow was TOO DEEP! At least YOU enjoyed a snowday but let's both hope it's the last one for the year!

Got up to snow here this morning, too. I am not ready for spring - but only if there is snow. Please, no April showers!

MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY!!!!
Way to tell him...winter that is!

Yeah, my daughter was none too happy about the weather there either! Hopefully it will be a distant memory in a day or two :)

Not to rub it in, but we had a fabulous spring day here... we actually don't get a lot of those since the clouds and rain get in the way of the sun and the blue sky.

PS - at least you got a couple of great photos out of it!

Spring comes and teases us a little bit, then steps back and lets Winter come back.
I can't wait for Spring to make her appearance again! This time for good!!

Oh, I love your post! As I float about the blogosphere and people are raving about sunshine and warmth, we are buried in snow and cold and no end in sight. Beautiful pictures too.

Too bad about the snow but it made for some awesome photos!

Amen sister! We also had snow...just not as much as you. I want to plant my garden, not scrape ice off of things. Old man winter better know what he's got comin'!

Oh no, not snow again... At least you made the best of it and played in the snow. :-)

I agree with Lisa. I kept expecting it to stop, but it just kept coming down... It took my bf 1 hr to drive a 15 minute drive and I was worried the whole time.

6 inches of snow in one day? Some start to spring...

Sounds like your day was like ours; however we enjoyed 3 seasons in one day. Yes indeed...I'm a bit confused by it all! -Mary

Andrea I know how you're feeling. We've had temperatures in the 80's over a week ago and now the weatherman is predicting rain mixed with snow for Sunday and Monday! Enough is enough already..this has been one long cold winter for a lot of us. Old Man Winter ....take a hike! Hope your weekend is a good one.
