Barn Charm Mosaic

I pass a good many barns on my commute each day, this one however, I only stumble across when I change up my route, usually when I'm running late and have to stop for gas. I swear, my next car is going to be electric. This treasure, nestled down in a small valley, sits fairly close to the road so it wasn't until I had stopped and walked along the edge of the property that I noticed the trio of equines staring at me intently. And it wasn't until  the head of the herd checked me out that they continued with their grazing. Their curiosity, their pecking order and their unique personalities never cease to amaze me. All this in a picturesque little spot, centred in an area that's hillier than most parts around here. Something tells me I'd miss this spot if I didn't have to stop for a fill up.

So maybe that is one good thing about having to stop for gas at these ridiculous prices ;) Love your photos, as always.

Beautiful, and I love the story to go along with it! It does make the commutes more bearable when there are lovely views to take in :) (and the gas prices less painful as well.. maybe?) ;) -Tammy

Love all that bright green standing out from the weathered wood!

We just brought home a 2012 Honda Civic due to high gas prices and high miles (thanks to 10 years of hockey) on my 1999 4Runner... I guess I'll have to be sure to remember to stop and "smell the barns" that I'll miss now that I won't be stopping for gas so much!

ps the car was made in Ontario so it should be well built ;)
