Shopping Trip

Okay, so it's Saturday morning and I know this post says Friday. With one week to go we're all on panic mode trying to beat the clock, so here's what I planned on posting before I passed out during the movie last night.

I met with our wedding planner last night, she invited me over for a lovely dinner and then we reviewed every last detail of the fast approaching big day. Yes, that's right, I have a wedding planner. She just happens to be my amazing step-mom. Yes, you're right again. I have an amazing mom and an amazing step-mom. I'm a pretty lucky girl!

After dinner, we met with a dear family friend who graciously accepted our proposition of making cupcakes for the wedding. A cool trend I think, and I'm jumping full force onto the band wagon! We bounced some ideas around, and keeping the outdoor, garden, country wedding theme in mind we came up with what I think will be some darling little cakes. My job was to find and decide on the baking cups. That's it, that's all I had to do.

This is what I came home with...

As you can see I did accomplish my assigned mission. And then some. I think the problem before now was that I hard time visualizing any decorating because, well, I've never seen the tent and I won't until two days before the wedding. However, between seeing the boxes full of decorations in my step-mom's living room and actually setting foot in a craft store, the creativity juices started flowing. Overflowing is more like it. Watch in the days ahead, and I will show you how I plan to use my new cache of goodies.

Now, I'm off to the annual library book sale and if I'm lucky, I'll be able to fit them all in my car!

Happy Saturday Morning!

The wedding planning sounds so exciting. Can't wait to see what you are going to do. In three more days, my husband and I will have been married 48 years. I wish for you that many years and more. I say marriage is a "work in progress".

Oh Andrea, I can't wait! Your stash looks like so much fun. I know you're going to make it all come together in some unbelievably fabulous way.

I'm getting excited and anxious! We're getting down to the wire here, huh? I am positive that it will all come together and be a very memorable, special occasion. I'll be right there in spirit! -Tammy
