Why I Moved to the Country: Reason #21

Bonfires

Perfect on a crisp fall night with a mug of apple cider.
And we no longer have to worry about a neighbour calling the fire department on us.

Click here if you missed out on the action of building the fire pit and the first time we used it!

This evening is a bit crisper than I would prefer - we have a glaze of ice on our deck! I don't think I'm ready for the winter just yet. Thanks for the kind birthday wish on my blog. It was really a good day today. It's one day I will treasure for a long time.

Thank you for your sweet comments about the birth and the new life in the barn.

Love your firepit with the reclaimed brick. The story about the birthday party & 10 year old boys was priceless! Sadly, we haven't made time to use ours (just a big metal ring) this year. I think we need to put it away for the winter, and make definite plans to use it next year! -Tammy

That is the number one reason our family wants property in the country. A firepit!

Ah, I love the way everything you wear and your hair smells of bonfire afterwards!
