Where else can you spend the equivalent to your child's college education on a tank to hold all of your..um... waste?
Where can you have a winter where the entire province is blanketed in a foot of snow except for a 50km radius around your old farmhouse?
Where could you have deep freeze temperatures for over a week?
Where can your septic bed freeze because there is no insulating layer of snow so the pump shuts off and the only area where the grass seed actually sprouted in the fall now has to be dug up?
Where do you ask?
Where?
It's elementary my dear Watson.
Why only in the country, that is where.

Oh, that is lousy. Lots of family in Grey county, they could lend you a couple of feet of snow. We have only a bit of snow.
Oh. No.
Let us know if you need H.E.L.P.
Love, mom
Oh all of us who have septic tanks, we feel your pain!!!
Oh my, Andrea! Lord help us all get through this winter ~ things are tough all over. Will hope the best for your 'situation'. Not fun, to say the least! Hugs, Tammy
Ahhhh alas. We share your good grief here in rural Pennsylvania Pa. I have had to stack hay bales on my back porch for additional insulation to the kitchen wall so the sink pipes wont freeze over. My only other option was to heap manure against the outside wall but I was afraid that would seem to "redneck" of me. Stay warm!

Oh...not fun at all. I'm sorry about the septic troubles. Try to stay warm anyway.

Ahhhh, farm livin' that's the life for me!!! Yep, this Ozarks farm chick knows ya'll just have to roll with the punches on the farm. Now the outhouse thing....I was raised with and outhouse until the age of ten when we got runnin' water in the farmhouse. Wooohooo! I remember Granny Walden called it the closet.
Ya'll have a wonderfully blessed filled with many successful flushes!!! God bless ya'll!!!
I always cringe when the toilet flushes a little sluggish in the winter. Septic tanks in the winter....oh help us. It's going to be zero tonight. All the chickens are comin' in....LOL...just joking. I'll always love the country, no matter what a mess it is.
