Somebody new

has started laying in the roost.

Okay, so it doesn't even come close to the world record for smallest chicken egg.
(yes, there is one, see here.)
I still think it's the cutest thing evah baby!

It is rather amusing to see the tiny eggs -- the first laying attempt -- in the nesting boxes. :)

New layers are so exciting! We are full of pullet eggs around our roost. I heard once that pullet eggs were better tasting- any truth to that? Best. -Maggie

Tiny indeed. I love visiting the egg marketing board display at the Royal Winter Fair, and listening to people exclaim about thinking small eggs came from small chickens.
